From Maya Jama’s lime sporty two piece and Rowi Singh’s lilac milkmaid dress to Kehlani’s beige suit – we’ve come to the conclusion that all the colours are trending this season and they can be tailored to your aesthetic. Pastels, neon’s, neutrals – choose your palette and start dressing for hot girl summer. Here’s our Instagram looks of the week.

Maya Jama

Maya Jama took to Instagram in the neon Misbhv active sport knit shorts and top, paired with a matching Trapstar puffer and a pair of hot pink square toe sandals – we’re adding neon’s to our basket asap. A sporty, off duty look which she’s effortlessly dressed up with the heels – take notes on the sandals because square toe is trending.

Rowi Singh

Pastels are a timeless trend for spring and in 2021 there’s no exception. In a dreamy lilac dress by Serpenti Apparel, paired with a unique pink pair of cowboy boots – Rowi Singh is showing us how to look like a real-life princess this season. The perfect silhouette for a comfy and cute post-lockdown look.

Lizzo

Lizzo is taking us back to the 70s in the Lime floral dress from Doja Cat’s Pretty Little Thing Collection. With groovy patterns, risqué mesh and ruched details – this piece ticks off several SS21 trends and take it from us – Lime green is a shade to watch.

Vanessa Hudgens

It looks like when it comes to footwear, the cowboy boot silhouette is here to stay. Vanessa Hudgens took to Instagram in a croc effect pair in off white, by the brand SCHUTZ. With a stiletto heel and pointy toe, this take on a classic is perfect for strutting through the beer gardens this spring. We love the neutral palette in this look, with the beige shades complementing her boots and sunnies. Colour coordination is key.

Kendall Jenner

Chic and stylish, Kendall took to the streets of New York in head to toe The Row. Another take on a neutral colour palette, with a pair of beige suit trousers, a white shirt and, of course – square toe sandals. This is one for you boss women who want to dress up your smart attire and make it suitable for cocktails after work, too.

Winnie Harlow

If you were wondering how to style the colour yellow, take some notes from Winnie Harlow’s look. Coordinating her GCDS Jurassic boots with a PU Bottega trench for a major bright moment we want to re-create this spring. She’s styled the look with a timeless pair ripped blue denim shorts and a tank – summer must haves.

Kehlani

This, ladies, is how to tailor like a boss this season. For Atlantic Records, Kehlani wore a two-piece beige suit with a matching turtleneck. Timeless and classic, there’s no better go-to look than a colour co-ordinating tailored moment. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen pastel and neon takes on the full suit but if bright colours aren’t for you – invest in neutrals.

Jess Cheng

With a nod to the 00s, Jess Cheng brought a lot of heat to our feed this week in the I Am Gia Xenia pants – the tie up details go hand in hand with the cut out trend taking the y2k aesthetic to the next level. We love the details too, with a small baguette bag to match – the perfect addition to any look this season.

Sita Bellan

Dripping in Givenchy, Sita Bellan wore a vintage number – the full red logo jumpsuit, paired with a new season handbag and pumps. You can’t go wrong with red. To complete the look, she wore a body chain from her own brand, Lilth by Sita, and a faux fur bucket hat.

Kristen Noel Crawley

Spring just got boujee. With Noel Crawley in the Miu Miu cady skirt, a low rise, mini piece embellished with sequins. She dressed it down for a more casual take with a striped turtleneck, making it the perfect outfit for a chilly post-lockdown meal out. Also paired with two pieces from the Miu Miu Kappa collection – the sneaker inspired heels and silver mini bag. We love the green shades in this look but unfortunately this particular skirt and top are unreleased. Don’t worry, though, shop a similar take below with just as much style.

Elsa Hosk

French girl chic is obviously the memo – in a pastel pink gingham dress, Balenciaga leather jacket and platform Gucci loafers Elsa Hosk is giving us all the inspiration we need to feel like we’re in Paris for our coffee dates this spring. With platform being back on trend, a comfy loafer is definitely a staple piece this season.

Neelam Kaur Gill

Need more SS21 suiting inspiration? This beige Dion Lee set is the perfect balance of sophistication and glam – with the cut out detailing adding an element of edge to a timeless piece. Neelam paired the suit with a crochet corset, crochet being a huge trend for this summer and making the look extra versatile. Let’s talk accessories – taking the hoop to that extra level with a 60mm pair, Neelam is telling us a key way to stand out this season is to make your earrings bold.

Rihanna

Rihanna was spotted this week with a new pixie do’, going back to her 00s roots – and her outfit was just as iconic. Styled in a vintage John Galliano Dior coat, groovy tie-dye pants and white pumps which we are not surprised she managed to pull off. The iconic print ties together the colours and patterns which are making their return to the trends this SS21. When it comes to outerwear silhouettes the Mongolian shearling coats are timeless and give a nod to the return of y2k aesthetics.
