The 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards hit our screens last night, and we were SO excited to see what looks our favourite celebs were planning. From bold, bright colours to the more understated glam – here are a round up of what gave us that hit of dopamine to start the week.
Addison Rae
The TikTok star turned heads as she hit the red carpet, looking like a vision. Keeping her hair in soft, tousled beach waves her glam was fresh and on-trend. Makeup artist, Mary Philips (a regular face painter for stars like Bella Hadid and Kendal Jenner) used an unreleased Pat McGrath blusher to achieve that fresh-faced glow.
Yvonne Orji
The comedian and actress Yvonne Orji stunned in a bold, playful look that we love to see. Pretty in pink, her fuchsia lip and shimmery eye look gorgeous together, especially when paired with her colourful flapper getup.
Lana Condor
What a lewk. Bringing eyeliner with all the drama, the To All The Boys star looked fierce when walking the red carpet. Her makeup artist, Melissa Hernandez, didn’t give much away when it comes to the products she used to create this masterpiece but does credit the longevity of the makeup to Neutrogena’s Radiant Setting Spray.
Madison Bailey
We are obsessed with Madison Bailey’s glam. Making a statement with an orangey-red lipstick, a classic cat eye and a high-beam glow, we think she smashed it. The long braid with her baby hairs curled onto the face just complete the look and made her a standout among the roster of A-listers.
Riley Keough
It’s a yes from us for the all-round electric blue eye. Makeup artist Rachel Goodwin used all Pat McGrath products to create this 70’s inspired glam, which includes her PermaGel Eyeliner Pencil in Blue Blitz and Dark Star Mascara. The super sleek braid finessed the look, making it one of our favourites of the night.
Mandy Moore
This Is Us actress Mandy Moore was giving us old-school glamour with her hair pulled into a chic middle parting and subtle makeup that highlighted her naturally chiseled features. Armani Beauty was used to create that airbrushed-looking skin and subtle shimmering smokey eye.
Yara Shahidi
With hair long ‘like Solaaaange’ and natural glam, the Grown-ish star wore a full face of Dior Makeup, for the MTV Movie and TV Awards. Makeup artist Emily Cheng used Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation and Rouge Dior Blush in ‘Actrice’ to give Yara such a dewey look.
