Cardi B, Grammy-winning rapper and songwriter known for her candid lyrics, is defined by her seamless ability to step outside of the box, whether that be through her music, or her iconic style. Set to release her new hit single ‘Hot Shit’ (featuring Lil Durk & Kanye West) this Friday, Voir has compiled a selection of Cardi B’s most daring hairstyles in celebration. After all, nobody does it quite like Cardi, and we’re here to prove it.
As the host of the official Met Gala after party, co-hosted by Playboy, Cardi B made sure to make a statement. At the museum, Cardi stunned in a sculpted medusa coin Versace dress, then slipped into a black and gold gown just in time for the evening ahead. With her brunette locks tied into a high up- do with subtle baby bangs, Cardi B topped off her look with chunky, platform heels.
In a sleek, auburn wig parted straight down the middle, Cardi B struck once again. Her polka dot bodysuit complimented her straightened locks perfectly, whilst her orange, vinyl heels stood in sharp contrast to her barbie pink nails.
Courtesy of hairstylist Mia Jackson, also known as Tokyo Stylez, Cardi B boasted a fiery red wig on Instagram, parted down the middle and stamped with a bandana-inspired paisley print. Whilst paying homage to the Y2K trend that Gen Z have been loving lately, Cardi B complimented her look with low waisted, ripped jeans and her signature white acrylics.
Coated in pink from head to toe, if there’s anyone that can pull of a bowl cut, it’s Cardi B. With wrists decorated in Van Cleef and Arpels and square sunglasses reminiscent of Paris Hilton’s staple noughties attire, nobody rocks a fringe better than Cardi.
Whilst known for her extravagance, Cardi B hit the stage at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert flaunting almost $3 million worth of diamonds, including an 8-carat pear-shaped engagement ring and a bunny-eared Playboy chain. With gently curled locks reminiscent of a mermaid, her hot red, half-up hairstyle juxtaposed their subtlety, featuring a side part at the front. To make matters more exciting, who couldn’t help but adore those nails?
