Once again, Jeremy Scott had heads turning at his AW18 Moschino runway show in Milan with his otherworldly creations. This truly inspirational man is the epitome of , causing a heap of controversy for this campaign. Scott stated backstage pre-show that he himself was interested in heightening conspiracy theories at times of political unrest. It is evidential that this heavily inspired his extraordinary AW18 collection. But asides all of the uproar this collection caused, let’s talk fashion.
The collection itself can only be described as Jackie O meets futuristic-retro-meets-vibrant-space-age-glam. Ludicrous right? We know. Amongst the 60’s pill-box hats and elbow length gloves, the extrinsic hair and make-up looks were ones not to go unmissed. The infinitely noticeable Jackie O hair was shaped up by hair stylist Paul Hanlon, while the optimistic blue and yellow skin sprays were created by MUA Kabuki.
“Whilst obsessing over the images from the show, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of similarity between the collection and the Disney film characters from Inside Out.”
Artistic director Jeremy Scott arranged for the biggest stars of the modelling world to showcase his collection. Names included none other than the Hadid sisters; Gigi and Bella, Kaia Gerber, Soo Joo Park and Vittoria Ceretti.
Whilst obsessing over the images from the show, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of similarity between the collection and the Disney film characters from Inside Out. It’s almost as if the entire collection is a display of the emotions Americans are feeling towards the administration of Trump. Either way, Moschino has well and truly blown our socks off yet again.
