The biggest night in the music industry calendar took place last night. Yes, the Grammys returned for their annual showing and whilst, obviously, music was the main focus of the night we also need to talk about the fierce looks the stars brought to the red-carpet! Read on for our favourite looks of the night, featuring space-age dresses, oversized suits, bold animal print and quite a lot of pink. Like, lots.
Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker
Kourtney and Travis rocked up on the red carpet together and looked incredibly slick whilst doing so. Kourtney wore a black cropped top with a pair of high-waisted trousers giving her a unique and cool silhouette made all the classier by her sheer black opera gloves. Travis meanwhile wore a traditional black suit but covered it with a shiny, neon pink overcoat which added a huge splash of vibrancy to the pair.
Halsey
Halsey looked like she had stepped straight out of another era last night, oozing a delightfully vintage vibe that was both classy and cool. The former queen of indie wore a burgundy corset and black longline skirt from Pessiat, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Tiffany & Co jewelry and a vintage hat courtesy of Pierre Cardin. She also exposed all of her super cool tattoos, giving the classy look a cool edge too.
Megan The Stallion
Queen of the moment Megan Thee Stallion looked fabulous as always. Last night she embraced her animalistic side, wearing a double-sided animal print dress with leopard print on the outside and tiger print on the inside, with the dress itself splitting down her right side and flashing some leg. The animal references didn’t stop there as the rapper also sported some super cool snake earrings. All hail the queen of the jungle!
Lucky Daye
Soul singer Lucky Daye embraced an all green look on the red-carpet last night. Lucky wore a pastel green suit courtesy of Jacquemus consisting of a matching blazer, shirt, trousers and even matching green shoes. He didn’t go 100% green though, wearing a pair of black sunglasses to add a finishing touch of cool to the look.
Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton had a Cinderella moment last night, wearing a delightfully shimmering and intricate dress perfect for a ballroom dance. The dress, courtesy of Atelier Zuhra, featured an elegant silver print running down from her chest to the floor as well as a sheer, polk dotted cape which was comprised of countless pieces of silver jewelry towards the top. She is ready for the ball, Fairy Godmother.
Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber
Justin went for a slightly unorthodox look last night. He wore a traditional custom Balenciaga suit consisting of blazer and trousers but wore a dramatically oversized variant rather than a form-fitting one. The enormous suit was accompanied by a pair of equally enormous shoes, some black sunglasses and a flashy pink beanie. Hailey, meanwhile, went for a more traditional red-carpet look, wearing a sleek white YSL dress and jewelry from Tiffany & Co. The two represented very different ends of the fashion spectrum, but that’s why we love it!
Lilnasx
Can this man ever do any wrong? We don’t think so as Lil Nas X casually added another iconic look to his book of fabulous and fierce outfits last night! The rapper wore a futuristic outfit from Balmain that looked like a cross between a suit and space gear. The pristine white look was incredibly detailed, with an array of patterns and designs running from head to toe, with the standout design being a huge, colourful butterfly in the center of the chest which was also pasted onto the upper arms of both sleeves. The rapper also wore a pair of huge, matching boots creating a uniform look ready for a walk on the moon.
Saweetie
Rapper Saweetie added a flash of fuchsia to the event last night in a bold Valentino dress that embraced both tradition and modernity. The skirt of the dress was traditional and flowed out from her waist and down to her feet, whilst up top the rapper wore only a matching bra and a pair of opera gloves. The look managed to be both incredibly classy and sensual.
Dua Lipa
International sensation Dua Lipa wore what was one of the more intricate outfits of the night. The singer wore a black top covered in an array of straps and harnesses, giving her an edgier look than most on the red-carpet last night. The singer also wore an enormous golden necklace consisting of multiple pendants connected to a huge chain, which complimented her outfit perfectly.
Snoh Aalegra
Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra looked traditionally elegant last night. Snoh wore a custom Versace dress in a shimmering silver which hugged her figure flawlessly and, whilst looking wonderfully traditional, also managed to look modern and sleek at the same time. The singer also wore a number of silver rings to compliment the dress.
St. Vincent
It wouldn’t be a red-carpet without some Gucci and St. Vincent was the one to provide those goods last night. The singer wore a shimmering, sheer pink gown fitted with a pair of huge, theatrically ruffled sleeves in bright pink as well as a matching hem. The look was signature Gucci in every aspect and brought a wonderful touch of flamboyance to the event.
Dojacat
Doja Cat embraced some serious Y2K vibes last night. The singer wore a sheer, aqua dress designed by Donatella Versace which was fitted with jewels to add some sparkle. She accessorised with a stunning, elegant necklace, a pair of matching earrings and some bracelets from courtesy of diamond jeweler Samer Halimeh New York. She was also carrying a cute aqua bag promoting JBL showing she’s just as serious about her audio equipment as she is fashion.
SZA
SZA wore one of the most intricate and theatrical looks of the night by far. The singer wore a sheer, flesh coloured dress by Jean Paul Gaultier which was lined with a stunning array of multicoloured flowers, running from the chest of the dress and down the middle to the floor.
Tinashe
Tinashe wore a blushing pink pleather gown and accessorised with a shining red bag. The look, courtesy of GCDS Wear and Coperni, was light and playful adding a huge amount of fun to the red-carpet last night. The dress was fairly traditional in its structure but was fitted with a large bunch of pleather ruffles at the back to make the silhouette just a tad more unique.
Chloe Bailey
Another showing from Valentino now as Chloe Bailey chose the brand for her look of the night. The sleek dress was silver and comprised of dots, with added red and black variants providing cool pops of colour and definition. The futuristic look was fitted with a matching, sheer cape which provided Chloe with a space-age feel. Maybe her and Lil Nas X could travel around the stars together?
