Voir attended every show at Athens’ 36th bi-annual Fashion Week last week, where the city’s vibrant fashion scene came alive with cutting-edge designs and creative expressions in a true celebration of global and local-talent. We’ve rounded up our top five favourite designers who graced the runway with their spectacular creations, each one leaving their own signature and unforgettable mark on the event.
Daphne Valente
A household name in Greece, Daphne Valente did not disappoint with her timeless designs for AW25. Not only were we graced by her impressive pleating techniques, but she also incorporated fabric layering as well as cut outs all in a rainbow of different colourways.
The final four designs included 3-Dimensional elements in the form of a scarf alongside a white dress with floral branches around the skirt as an architectural embellishment. The styles of dresses ranged from short asymmetrical, to floor length – both strappy showing the shoulders and covered with the pleated fabric draped over them.
Before the show, Voir got to go to their showroom to get a sneak peak of the looks beforehand. Daphne had a selection of the designs placed on mannequins and showed other looks individually including a gorgeous sun-yellow gown which made us all the more excited for the upcoming show.

Lakis Gavalas
Lakis Gavalas had the most interesting runway design of the whole week as it featured a washing line with clothes hanging along it as an art installation.
The collection exuded a sharp, edgy persona, with each look pushing the boundaries of conventional style. As the models strutted down the catwalk, asymmetrical shirts were featured, paired with transparent sequin dresses that sparkled with every movement, creating a beautiful contrast between hard and soft elements. The oversized khaki trousers grounded the collection, giving it an effortlessly cool, street-smart appeal while maintaining a refined, avant-garde edge.
Within this sea of bold statements, Gavalas also wove in bursts of colour, integrating vibrant prints alongside slogan tees and jackets. The use of denim was particularly striking—several looks played with different washes, from dark to light, all woven into one cohesive outfit that was as playful as it was rebellious.

Dassios
Dimitris Dassios brought their signature pop of colour to the runway in spectacular fashion, transforming the catwalk into a moving canvas of bold expression. Fiery oranges and deep crimsons blazed alongside rich emerald greens and luminous golds, adding a sense of drama to the collection.
Staying true to their aesthetic, Dassios unified the show with a series of long, fluid dresses that glided effortlessly around the models’ bodies. The silhouettes were elegant and free-flowing, exuding a quiet confidence and grace. Each piece was adorned with intricate, energetic prints—layered, ornate patterns that echoed the vibrancy of the palette and brought depth to the garments.

Celebrity Skin
Celebrity Skin was by far one of the most interesting shows as models wore leather masks while walking down the runway matching the colourways of the rest of each design.
Long dresses with flowing organza gracefully moved down the runway featured in both black and white, and contrasted with heavily embellished short dresses draped in crystals reflecting the light of the runway with their every movement.
The main colour featured was black creating a striking and impactful vibe on the runway but was countered with light cream dresses embroidered with flowery designs adding a lighter ambience to the show.

Paris Valtadoros
Valtadoros closed Athens Fashion Week with a grand finale set in a serine botanical sanctuary. Their designs mirrored the garden landscape with floral tutus and colourful bubble skirts. Layered fabric heavily featured throughout the dresses, skirts, and jackets in tones of white, black, and beige and not forgetting asymmetrical cut outs on metallic pantsuits and dresses.
Muted tones of sage green and sky blue matched the garden landscape and later became bright hues of pink and yellow sunset tones to go hand in hand with the nature tropes of the show. Royal blue jackets with black embellishments made a statement on the runway with a big feature of accordion inspired handbags dotted throughout.
