The 2023 Council of Fashion Designer America awards had their 42nd annual ceremony at the Museum of Natural History in the Upper West side of Manhattan on the 6th of November. The CFDA aims to celebrate America fashion in all its glory. This year’s awards were hosted by Anne Hathaway, who also makes it to our best-dressed list of the night. Here are a few celebrities who best managed to encapsulate the high fashion moment that are the CFDAs.
Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow stuns in a perfectly structured Marc Jacobs ensemble. She pairs the draped, classic ruffled dress with the Marc Jacobs Kiki ankle boots in black and adds diamonds to secure the look in an incredible marriage between elegant and edgy.
Lola Tung
Lola Tung serves everything the CFDA awards night demands in an impeccably crafted sheer Balmain dress embellished with crystal drops. Tung, pairs the outfit with nude pumps, slicked back hair and statement earrings.
Anne Hathaway

The hostess wore a Ralph Lauren denim corset-skirt set with a trail, wowing with her great styling. She pairs the look with Jimmy Choo heels and jewellery to match the blues of the ensemble. She channelled all American denim chic.
La La Anthony
La La Anthony wore a custom Saint Sintra with a brown one piece, channeling the micro shorts trend as seen on the runways for Milan Autumn/Winter ‘23. She pairs the piece with a cape of a matching colour, black pumps and a statement gold choker tying the gorgeous piece together.
Serena Williams
The star tennis player won the award for ‘Fashion Icon of the Year,’ the first athlete to do so at the CFDAs. Williams wore this exquisite Thom Browne creation with a sweetheart neckline and statement off shoulder sleeves, playing with texture and structural elements. She finished the look with an attention-grabbing diamond necklace.
Coco Rocha
The model stole the show in this Christian Siriano set. The play between the dark stiffness of the black top and the feminine pink flowing at the bottom with a slit, tied together with the ruffled rose, satin platform heels and hat was everything the CFDA stands for. Truly a triumph for American fashion.
Rauw Alejandro
The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter was dressed by Willy Chavarria in this incredibly tailored red suit. To add to the flowy nature of the suit, Chavarria pairs the suit with a black sheer shirt, leather gloves and the rose embellishment giving us a break from the usual black tuxedo and generic suit clad stars.
Kim Kardashian
Reality television star, Kim Kardashian who was also a presenter for the night, wore a Chrome Hearts black leather, halter gown with the cross motif embossed across the garment. Kardashian chose to complete the look with a messy updo and her signature makeup.
Emma Chamberlain

Emma Chamberlain wore Thom Browne to the CFDAs in a monotone black, panelled, corseted gown with cutouts around the mid-thigh. The youtuber chose to style the gown with simple black flats, choosing to keep her makeup as the focal point of her look with a red smokey eye and a sleek ponytail.
Emily Ratajkowski
The model wore a Tory Burch high neck cream colour mini-dress and paired it with matching Paul Andrew heels. Ratajkowski channelled effortless chic with minimal accessories and fresh makeup.
