Emily Ratajkowski And Good American: Life Is Better In A Bikini – And Prioritising Self-Care

Good American has just dropped their new Summer Getaway edit, featuring Emily Ratajkowski as the face of the latest campaign. The edit aims to market their collection towards the modern woman, with beloved model Em Ratajkowski embodying this perfectly. Simple and comfortable shorts, jeans, cover-ups, and swimsuits encourage a message of empowerment towards the purchasers. Whether you’re a mother or working in your dream career, or even both, this collection represents comfort and style in a way that prioritises the simplicity of self-care and taking time for yourself during the summer months.

In a statement from the brand, Emily shared her own personal views on the importance of self-care: “As a woman who juggles motherhood, a career as a model and creative project, I’ve learned that taking time for yourself is crucial to your happiness and success.” The collection beautifully articulates this philosophy, combining comfort, aesthetic, and versatility to aid in recharging those batteries and prioritising yourself amongst hectic lives that often leaves no time for such activities. Ratajkowski is no stranger to a summery edit, modelling for the Victoria’s Secret summer 2024 and Tory Burch’s summer 2024 ‘Ice Cream Shop’ campaigns. She also launched and modelled for her very own swimwear brand back in 2017, Inamorata. Therefore, her own personal brand surrounding summery clothing and swimwear leaves her as the perfect brand ambassador for this Good American edit.

Good American also makes it clear that their brand is for everybody and every body. Their array of brand campaigners, such as WNBA player Angel Reese, plus-size pioneer in modelling Ashley Graham, Victoria Monét, and Lori Harvey – as well as co-founder Khloe Kardashian, encourage a diverse representation with a broad size range going from sizes 00-32. Their clothing aims to encourage empowerment and eradicate the friction around finding the perfect fit. Known for their iconic denim, and expanding into other clothing collections, the brand aims to make women feel more confident in the clothes they wear.

Emily Ratajkowski states ‘life is better in a bikini,’ but isn’t life better when you begin prioritising and taking care of yourself?
