With Autumn and Winter at our doorstep, it is a perfect opportunity to take a look into the latest brand collections that will keep us looking stylish, no matter what the weather is. Whether you prefer elegance and delicacy, or charismatic and eye-catching styles, there is something for you this season.
GCDS
This year, we have seen a huge return of quirky clothing, with our wardrobes adopting revamped styles from the ’70s, ’90s and ’00s. This makes it the perfect timing to compliment your winter jeans with a striking in-trend jumper. GCDS’s latest collection is full of charisma, and even comes with a Looney Tunes inspired section, bringing us all the nostalgia we ever dreamed of.
KNWLS
You can always rely on Autumn to ensure wearing prints is back in trend, and this year is no different. Charlotte Knowles’ AW collection has brought us texture, prints and earthy tones; any autumn lovers dream.
ZIMMERMANN
The rustic colour palette is a safe bet to securing a complimentary look this season, with shades to accentuate every skin tone. Zimmerman brought us their ’70s inspired ‘Fall RTW’ collection, which drew influence from the ’70s music program ‘Countdown’. The collection brings extravagant suits, coats and flares; all giving us that retro flavour.
16Arlington
16ARLINGTON’s AW21 collection features textures like feathers and leather, and is also made up of a rustic colour palette; brown, orange and blue. The collection was inspired by the feeling of entrapment, leading to garments that give you a feeling of needing to dress up. Kendall Jenner was seen wearing the AW collection.
David Koma
This season, a common theme is innovative opulence. Many designers and collections have done this by mixing silhouettes and shaping from previous decades with modern styles. One of our favourite AW collections which adhered to this was David Koma. Their collection gave many ’60s references mixed with modern fittings such as oversized jackets. “For Autumn-Winter 2021, the inspiration from the past, represents a shared sense of nostalgia, while a healthy dose of newness portrays a sense of hope in our future”, says David Koma.
Chanel
Autumn and Winter is a perfect time to get bolder with makeup, and Chanel’s latest collection ‘Tone on Tone’ has given us inspiration for our next night out. The collection is concentrated around four adaptable shades; grey, khaki, champagne, and reddish-brown. Each colour comes with a kohl liner, liquid eyeshadow and nail varnish, all working together to achieve a harmonious look from face to fingertip.
