Let’s Talk Colours, Suiting and Accessories: The SS21 Trends On Our Feed This Week

Lady Gaga shows us how to suit up this season, Kylie Jenner is giving us major going-out inspiration and fashion girls are teaching us how to colour-coordinate like a boss. It’s officially that time of the year where our wardrobes make that long awaited shift from puffers and joggers to skirts, crops and trousers. This week our feeds are filled with the SS21 key trends – vibrant colours, cut outs, suiting and BIG sunglasses.

Lady Gaga

All eyes are on Gaga at the moment with her House of Gucci debut and she is definitely not disappointing. This week, she took to Instagram in a vintage-esque 90’s Chanel style suit – giving us 1960’s girl-boss vibes. We’re here for chic Gaga. She’s going back to her The Fame Monster era with a pair of oversized sunglasses and their asymmetric silhouette nod to the eyewear trends of the season. Unfortunately this amazing green set is unreleased but we’ve added a new collection red, Gucci tweed suit which will look just as elegant.

Kylie Jenner

In a post-lockdown snap, Kylie wears all-new Mugler – with the cut-out bodysuit in nude paired with the panelled straight leg jeans in white, all coordinated with a classy pair of white Louboutin stilettos. The colour combination, although not the brightest, are the perfect shades for the transition into summer, and versatile enough to match with everything. Take Kylie’s green shoulder bag for example – a key trend this season is adding a pop of colour to your look, be that your accessories.

Cierra

Immediately we’re drawn to the chunky Lexxola aviators, a silhouette which has made its return to the trends this season – especially with the tinted frames. Cleverly, this shade coordinates perfectly with the swirl on her skirt – which is actually a bandeau from Fiona O’ Neill – a pattern which nods to the groovy style of the 70s, an era which is back in the fashion world. To complete the look, she’s paired the outfit with burgundy knee-high leather boots which add an air of Insta baddie. Whilst we’re on the topic of footwear, this boot silhouette is must for SS21 if you’re looking to dress up any look.

Gratsi

Let’s talk colours – Gratsi is matching the sunset in her figure hugging bodycon dress, with bold yellow tones and splashes of orange. On her feet, she wears Raid mules in a neon shade, coordinating with her dress thus completing the look. Didn’t we say it’s OK to mix colours, too? This is executed perfectly with her addition of a pastel blue Jacquemus mini tote – other years this might have seemed random but trust us, in 2021 this just works.

Alva Claire

A more traditional take on suiting but make it bougee. Alva Claire wears an oversized blazer and white shirt, paired simply with a mini black skirt – a stylish and chic look which is bound to make you feel powerful. What’s even better is how versatile this outfit can be, whether you’re off to the office, going for a stroll in the city or you’ve got an evening cocktail date it’s your go-to. Now, let’s talk about accessories. With a new season McQueen bucket bag, black sunglasses and statement silver rings there’s an accentuated edge added to the outfit.

Joannah Style

The streetwear duo is back with another SS21 colourful, coordinating look we are dying to re-create. If there’s one shade you must invest in this season, judging from this, it’s green. With the new season Bershka flares, styled with a neon orange PU blazer and white tank you pretty much will be ticking ALL of the trend boxes.

Kim

Another streetwear icon and this week she is bringing dungarees back – and despite stereotypical belief, making them look cool. The slouchy, black pair sit perfectly with the timeless Nike Air Force 1s. Kim paired the pants with a pop of neon green and the Bottega Veneta chain bag. That’s right, in 2021 anything is possible in the fashion world, dungarees can be bougee.

Eve Lily

The monochrome spring outfit of dreams – with ditsy details, floral patterns and enough layering to keep you warm whilst you enjoy your evening meal and cocktail. Cat eye is another silhouette on trend this SS21 for your eyewear basket and this Le Specs pair is definitely noteworthy, a brand on the rise for its quality. Let’s talk about the details. This top is embellished with an amazing, oversized collar which Eve has paired with a black vest, adding a sense of cool to its cuteness.

Bella Hadid

It’s time to style up that white shirt that’s sat in your wardrobe, and no, this time we’re not reaching for the blazer. One word, gilets. Yes, this winter puffer versions of the trend were in and now, with the shift of seasons, we’re going for a lighter version. Bella wears a Eytys leather vest and we’re getting major Aaliyah and Tupac vibes. Paired with Frame low-waist jeans, a controversial trend we know, you can’t knock it until you try them.
