The The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards that aired last night might not have been what we’re usually accustomed to due to the current historical period, but it was definitely an event to remember. It was meant to take place in Budapest but instead was held as an online ceremony with all of our favourite celebrities tuning in from different parts of the world, from Los Angeles to Rio de Janeiro.

Alicia Keys, Madison Beer and many more attended the event and not only showed us their amazing talent but also wore show-stopping looks, and that’s what we’re here to talk about.

Check out our top outfits of the night:

1. Madison Beer

The ‘Good in Goodbye’ singer attended the event wearing three different looks throughout the night, three different looks to obsess over. However, our favourite one has to be the custom made Vivienne Westwood satin dress with silver detailing and matching stain boots that spiced up the look. A bold yet elegant look perfect for an alternative red-carpet, don’t you think?

2. Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow proved to us once again that you can never go wrong with a black gown. The model sensation wore a velvet Ralph & Russo couture gown characterised by two slits across the stomach and an open leg one keeping the classic option modern and daring, just like her. The look was completed with diamond choker and earrings from Gismondi 1754.

3. Doja Cat

Doja Cat received her ‘Best New’ award in a full Givenchy by Matthew Williams look, one for the books. A see-through black dress with embellishments and matching gloves and jewelry. The look was completed with a fashionable contrast, purple thigh-high boots that caught our attention and defined the look.

4. Rita Ora

There’s no better combination than Giambattista Valli and romanticism, and Rita Ora’s Tulle choice proved us right. The yellow mini dress with feminine tulle flounces was one undoubtedly one of our favourites, the delicate style of dress and the contrasting black

accessories, such as the fishnet headband and sparkly heels, resulted in a look that we’d all want to wear.

5. Jade Thirlwall

A little black dress with an asymmetrical design and extravagant touches. Jade Thirlwall kept it classy with a Saint Laurent look that hugged her figure and became an epic look with the 2 metre accessory worn to remind us of social distancing. A dress and a message at the same time, what else could we ask for?

6. Alicia Keys

Quite the unpredictable look, or was it? Alicia Keys’s choice wore everything but your usual red carpet look, although quite authentic to Moschino. Her unique mustard look consisted of cargo trousers, a sporty crop-top and an oversized sheepskin and shearling coat obviously completed with some combat boots. Oh and let’s not forget about the matching sparkly mask, right on theme!

7. Zara Larsson

Versace, versace, versace… Zara Larsonn wore a custom Versace purple metal mesh mini dress, its shiny, sexy and couldn’t have been accompanied better with the matching heels choice and Bulgari jewelry. You’ll love it as much as we do.

8. Perrie Edwards

We loved Perrie Edwards blue-leather moment with her first look, but the real showstopper was her second choice. The black tuxedo bodysuit and its blue ruffled trim, with black tights and heels amazed us all and were definitely worthy of an award winning night, with a scent of 80s iconic style.

10. Becca Dudley

The presenter wore a Nadine Merabi jumpsuit in a red colour, however it wasn’t the colour to get our attention but the beautifully beaded design and fitting shape.
