Our Favourite Sneaker Head Aleali May Just Dropped Her First Jewellery Line!

Martine Ali and Aleali May are two of the greatest emerging names in the street style accessory realm. From Robert Pattinson to Travis Scott, the pair’s designs have been donned on the bodies of the biggest names in LA. So, it comes as little surprise that the duo just collaborated on a jewellery line that captures the unique details of both designers’ styles to create a symphony of boldly modern and gloriously unique silver accessories.

In an announcement to Instagram just this week, both designers declared their excitement about coming together to create their jewellery line. Aleali told her followers Martine & I teased about our jewellery collab some fashion weeks ago.. & we finally get to share with all the fly ppl out there. Alongside the wholesome text, Aleali posed in just some of the silver pieces available, teasing her followers about what was to come.

While Martine has always specialised in jewellery, her new partner in business- Aleali May- has only just decided to dabble in the jewellery realm (usually favouring her colourful and lively sneaker designs). While new to the jewellery game, Aleali brought her own flair and taste to the collection’s design process, adding a touch of her streetwear style to Ali’s chunky chains. While posing on Instagram this week, Aleali frequently sported a chain from the collection, boasting a silver pendant in the shape of Ankh (an ancient Egyptian symbol, representing eternal life) which has been previously used in Aleali’s designs.

But the collection isn’t just centred around the Ankh symbol, the pieces also celebrate Ali and May’s union by drenching the designs in the pair’s joined initials. 3D printed earrings and pendants can be seen reading ‘AMXMA’ in a nostalgic font, bringing a Y2K moment to the bright 925 silver designs. All designs are unisex and their minimal, yet chic, design means the accessories can blend into any look.

The standout piece from the collection is the silver chain purse. While see-through bags have taken the fashion realm by storm lately, this accessory develops the trend in a cage-like design, featuring a chunky chain strap and triangular shape that creates the ultimate Y2K look.

The collection was revealed at a Fred Segal event earlier this month and after Martine Ali’s designs have taken off in Farfetch and Saks lately, we expect (and hope) this won’t be the last we see of the pair’s exceptional designs.
