After a two-year process, Los-Angeles based fashion brand Miaou makes its debut in extended sizing, launching its first plus-size collection designed with catwalk superstar Paloma Elesser.
Featuring 54 styles ranging in sizes from XS to 4XL. The “Paloma Collection” displays trendy pieces such as mesh-up tops and corsets, baggy cargo pants, beach-ready swimwear, mini-skirts, and midi dresses. Each item comes up with custom-made prints designed by Elsesser, head of the brand Alexia Elkaim, and commissioned artists, including Abstraction, Baroque, Mudd, Sweet Legend, and Marseilles Stripe.
The brand is known for its penchant for vintage clothing updated with the latest trends, signature trousers, ready-to-wear lavish corsets, timeless dresses, and sexy swimwear. Miaou expanded into extended sizing with the hope that more people can feel included. “Feeling good in what you’re wearing has always been at the heart of Miaou.” They stated.
“It’s long been a goal at Miaou to be able to offer extended sizes, we are so thrilled to finally be taking our first step towards that.” Declared designer Alexia Elkaim in a press release “ What makes this collaboration all the more special is the fact that I got to design it with Paloma, my closest friend of over 15 years and someone as important to me as Miaou itself. Paloma and I have both grown so much as people, as creatives, and as friends. It felt right to come together at this intersection in our lives and careers and create something that would speak to both of us, and to both of our communities.” She continued.
This collection is one of the most important fashion launches of the month and brings a wind of change as the demand for inclusive ranges is increasing. “We wanted to create a collection that resonated with more body types and made each of our Muses feel sexy, iconic, and empowered.”
