Every year more and more brands join in celebrating Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community. Their pride collections with bold designs and fun colours spread awareness and contribute to equality. Besides their clothes, shoe or bag collections that you can wear all year round, most brands also donate a portion of their profits to organisations that support members of the LGBTQ+ community (which makes spending all your money on fashion feel a lot better!). So, keep scrolling if you want to know the hottest pride collections of 2022 that also support the community.
Cher x Versace
Two LGBTQ+ icons united. Cher and Donatella Versace, both lifelong supporters of the LGBTQ+ community, unite for Pride Month this year. The result is a limited capsule collection consisting of a Chersace T-shirt, logo socks and a Chersace baseball cap. A portion of the profits will be donated to Gender Spectrum. This organisation creates gender-sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens. So why not
Converse
Converse has outdone themselves this Pride Month, serving us an inclusive collection that celebrates the diverse LGBTQ+ community. This year’s collection comes in two parts featuring classics like the Chuck 70, One Star, and clothes. Converse “Pride By You” lets you create your own personalised “All- Star”, giving you the option to change laces, patches and license plate. The highlight is the patch that can be adjusted to a pride, trans, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, or non-binary flag, allowing you to express yourself this Pride.
The second part of the collection consists of apparel, headwear and shoes in a rainbow bandana print, representing the diverse community. Converse supports organisations with annual grants all year round, including It Gets Better Project, The Ali Forney Center, Skate Like A Girl, Theater Offensive, Out Metrowest, BAGLY (the Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Youth), and Las Fotas Project.
UGG
We are a sucker for UGG’s. This June, Ugg’s popular slides come in a new pride look, inspired by different pride flags. Their vibrant pride collection, featuring Maxi and Yeah slides, socks and apparel, is here to make you feel heard and supported. UGG is donating $50,000 to SwitchBoard, a charity listening service for everyone who struggles with their sexuality, gender identity and overall wellbeing.
Coach
Also, Coach launched a small collection of bags, wallets and more to wear with pride and joy this June. Their collection features some of the bestselling pieces, with the reworked signature canvas in rainbow colours. Have you already spent a fortune on designer items this year? No worries. Buying this collection means your money goes to the Hetrick-Martin Institute, Point Foundation and CenterLink Community of LGBTQ Centers to create supportive environments where LGBTQIA+ young people can thrive.
