Resonating with her personal story, Rihanna wears J’adore as an emblem of audacity and seduction to feel powerful in her skin and describes being the new face of the timeless fragrance as an “honour and a mission”.
“This scent, that I have known and loved for so long, means so much to women. It is more than a perfume; it is a companion and a reference. I am especially touched to join this adventure and to contribute to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my femininity.”

The original Eau de parfum celebrates intense floral notes of jasmine grandiflorum and centifolia rose absolutes to create an iconic scent that has embodied women globally for over two decades since its 1999 debut. But the new L’Or scent is perhaps Dior’s boldest variation yet. In the creation of L’Or de J’adore, Kurkdjian has expertly taken a timeless piece and reimagined it for the contemporary woman. With more than 80 ingredients in the formula, and a prominent orange blossom warmth, the symphony of notes is deep, complex, and oozes luxury.
Following the passing of the torch to Rihanna, the iconic J’adore bottle necklace has also been restyled to reflect the warmth of the scent in a celebration of luxurious curves that hug the glass of the L’Or de J’adore bottle, and since the bottle itself is an impression of the female form, it’s only right that the L’Or bottle is now the image of Rihanna iconic curves.
“I have in a way, forced the outline of the flowers to define a new texture, like a fluid and enveloping gold, a new sensuality. Flowers are the true gold of J’adore” says Francis Kurkdjian, Creative Director at Dior, and with the classic gold colour coming from an essential, pure floral concentrate, we can be sure that gold, not diamonds, is forever.
