Tailoring, Tributes And Tule: Our Final London Fashion Week 2022 Round Up

Though carrying on through the sombre events of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, London Fashion Week has been a spectacle of style in the capital. The final day, Tuesday 20th September, saw the Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collections from the likes of Richard Quinn, Eftychia, Di Petsa and more.

Missed it? Don’t worry, here’s everything you need to know from the fashionable finale to keep you up to speed.

Greek designer Eftychia Karamolegkou kept it cool and sophisticated, incorporating elements of classic men’s tailoring details and construction into women’s garments for an effortless and timeless collection of suit co-ords, satin slips and wide-leg trousers.

Di Petsa

Taking inspiration from the Dionysian Mysteries, an ancient Greek and Roman ritual to liberate individuals to a carefree and natural vibe, the collection featured Di’s signature wet-look Illusion dress as well as floor-length printed gowns, one-pieces and metallic draping dresses channelling the ocean.

Susan Fang

Staying cool by the pool, Susan Fang’s show followed her distinct focus on nature and sustainability, with a tulle-clad, poolside-inspired, feminine collection of gowns with delicate silhouettes, deadstock materials, laser-cutting and hand embroidery in a colourful seasonal array.

Chet Lo

Chet Lo, whose signature sheer spiky knitwear is popular among Gen Z idols such as Dua Lipa, Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner, did not disappoint with a joyful show full of cultural clashes, Y2K-influences and bright hues. The collection featured his signature knits, low-slung waistlines, super-cropped styles, daring cutouts, delicate embroidery and draping dresses.

Richard Quinn

Known for his playful styles, Richard Quinn’s show turned to a sombre mood to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II with the first 22 looks consisting entirely of black lace veiled silhouettes.
Followed were renderings of multi-colored bulbous-topped bodysuits, his signature floral coats, feathered polka-dot embroideries and a pair of short bejewelled capes.
