Taking over the Hollywood Boulevard with glitz, glam, and a whole lotta Gucci, Alessandro Michele’s vision for the Gucci Love Parade was everything we could have hoped for and more. There was drama, fun, charm, and beauty at every step of the way. A selection of star-studded guests in the shape of musicians, movie stars, and supermodels watched in awe as an extravagantly dressed, and somewhat surprising list of cast strutted down the Walk of Fame which was disguised as their runway for one night and one night only.
In true Hollywood style, the crowd, which included stars like Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tracee Ellis Ross, was treated to a display of cowboy hats, floral shirts, feather boas and tiaras! Bright lights and flashing billboards spotlighted the show-stopping looks which were accompanied by a dramatic soundtrack to match, tracks from the likes of Björk could be heard booming out of the speakers from miles away.

The inspiration for the show came from the Creative Director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele’s childhood stories as told by his mother who had worked as an assistant for a film production company when he was younger. The illusion she created for him of a fairytale, alongside dramatic pieces and luxurious fabrics were just as prevalent in the Gucci Love Parade, as they would have been back in the day.
The Gucci Love Parade was truly a dream come true for Michele and it couldn’t have been any more Hollywood if it tried. For an in-your-face spectacle of glamorous nostalgia and all things great, you can watch the show below.
