The UK ‘wildest night of music’, The Bandlab NME Awards, return this 2nd March at the O2 Academy in Brixton, to celebrate music champions from around the globe. The 2022 performance lineup of indie-rock legends from Sam Fender to Robert Smith means the show is set to be larger and louder than ever before.
The immense night of music awards will take place at London’s O2 Arena, where rap legend Lady Leshurr and comedian Daisy May Cooper will present winners and nominees with a vast array of exhilarating awards. The inventive awards span from ‘best song in the world’ to the one and only ‘godlike genius award’ (which will see the first black female solo artist to win the award: FKA twigs). The evening will commend winners and nominees from Halsey to Lana Del Ray for their outstanding contribution to the music industry.

Adding to the innovative and exciting features of this years show, the award ceremony will introduce new categories, like Asia and Australia exclusive categories. Most nominees and winners have been judged by NME’s team of music experts who are seeking the ‘greatest artists in the world.’ But, you can have your say too! As 2022 categories like Hero and Villian of the year are selected by fans and you can cast your vote now.
Closing the thrilling show will be acclaimed Sheffield rock band Bring Me The Horizon. The group is no stranger to the award show after their 2016 Bandlab appearance sent shockwaves through the crowd after they smashed through Coldplay’s table. And we expect this years performance will be no less wild and fun, as when asked about closing the show this year, band member Oli Sykes claimed the band were “literally buzzing”.
The band are not only at the awards to perform. Bring Me The Horizon are also nominated for multiple awards like ‘best live act’ and ‘best band in the world’. The nominations are well deserved after the group’s outstanding contribution to the British music scene through albums like Post Human: Survival Horror.
It’s obvious this year’s Bandlab isn’t one to be missed and tickets are available now !
