Yesterday saw the fiercely awaited release of Jennifer Lopez’s fresh track, Medicine, featuring French Montana. To celebrate (or perhaps just as an excuse to browse J-Lo’s triumphant archive of outfits), we’ve pulled 5 of her most unforgettable looks from the Noughties and beyond…
2000
That green Versace dress speaks for itself given that it was, essentially, accountable for the creation of Google Images. People really wanted to look at it that badly. Need we say more?
2001
You can’t quote Noughties style without tallying in a decent velour tracksuit. Back in J-Lo’s I’m Real era (before ‘athleisure’ exploded onto the scene), they were the height of desire in fashion. She didn’t miss a trick, and even hand-picked the Juicy Couture number she sported in her music video for the track.
2013
Skipping forward to 2013 – and to J-Lo taking full advantage of the over-the-knee-boot trend; pairing her black leather Loubs with a full leopard print ensemble. Let’s be honest, she’s never been one to hold back when it comes to her get-up and hey, now the animal print trend is back in full force, perhaps she can dig this one out again.
2016
A ’16 favourite was Jenny’s denim Majorelle jumpsuit – simple but endlessly effective. Not to give her too much credit, but we’re pretty sure this was a prediction of this Spring’s boiler suit trend (just a mere 3 years in advance).
2018
J-Lo rocked up to the premiere for 2018’s Second Act in a tulle gown that nearly surpassed her ride to the event in terms of size. If the magnitude of the dress wasn’t enough – try it in hot pink.
