Juicy Couture UK’s SS22 Campaign
Y2K just called and she said she’s here to stay. Juicy Couture is launching their SS22 campaign and it’s filled with all the noughties glitz, glam, and velour imaginable.
For the past few years, Juicy Couture has become a staple brand for all of our Y2K essentials. From low-rise track pants to fluffy bucket hats, the timeless brand knows how to keep us on-trend and their spring/ summer drop is taking their Hollywood Barbie fashion memo to new heights.
In a fantasy-inspired scene, rooted in the elements of earth and fantastical underwater charm, the campaign is set in a dreamy fantasy created by Louis Simonon (who drew inspiration from nostalgic children’s movies like The Sea Prince and The Fire Child). Models pose among coral clouds and imaginative floral displays that ooze with playfulness and desire- hinting at the drop’s themes of forbidden love and full-blown fantasy.
While the traditional Juicy Couture codes of excessive velour and low-rise joggers are present in the campaign, the new launch sees the exciting use of materials like denim in the designs. Denim jackets are reinvented into cropped Y2K silhouettes and corset shaped teesan imaginative twist on Juicy Couture’s traditional nostalgic pieces. While faithful to the label’s timeless noughties silhouettes, contemporary embellishments like diamante ‘Juicy’ outlines that became popular in recent Juicy Couture drops bring the looks to the present age.
And, if you thought the setting of the campaign was a dream, wait until you see the accessories! Irresistible oversized earrings are filled with all the in your face charm Juicy Couture is synonymous with. Meanwhile, chunky headbands are embellished with sequins, adding a touch of Gossip Girl glamour to the collection.
Most striking is the drop’s colour palette, shocking pinks and bold blues dominated the monochromatic looks, keeping to a mood-boosting colour theme. But if subtlety is for you, the black velour tracksuits are modest while fabulous.
The collection is available now, so get ready to let your inner Paris Hilton with this ultimate collection.
SKIMS- Swim Drop
From the beaches of Costa Rica to Bora Bora, Kim has enough vacay experience to know the importance of flattering and sustainable swimwear. So, after years in the making, SKIM’s swimwear line finally drops today.
Summer can be a difficult time for many, the pressure to wear revealing garments can halt our confidence. So, SKIMS new swimwear line is here to put the fun back in summer! The collection’s figure-hugging styles ‘keep you confident’, an aim Kim has had from the very first launch of SKIMS. Speaking about the launch, Kim admitted “ feeling confident is really important, many women dread the idea of putting on a swimsuit… I wanted to change that”.
In her bid to boost our summer self-esteem, Kim ensured the collection has something for everyone. With a mouth-watering 19 styles, the collection caters to those who prefer to cover up and those who wish to bare all. Sarong skirts, cycle suits, and cut-out bikinis ensure that whatever you get up to this summer- whether you’re a deep diver or pool sider- you’ll look Kardashian worthy doing it.
Since the brand (and Kim) are renowned for their nude colour palette, the shades of the recycled nylon garments remain faithful to the brand’s signature palette and each item has a delightful choice of seven Kim-approved hues. Adding a dash of fresh spring to the collection, shades ‘periwinkle’ and ‘cobalt’ blue have us dreaming of the poolside already.
If the extensive styles and colours on offer haven’t convinced you that this is the most confidence evoking swimwear line of all time, the drop’s Instagram campaign (released earlier this week) may just sway you. In a simple, yet effective, campaign a diverse group of women give us their raw experience with the swimwear. Daelyn Morgan and Alexus Gregg tell us their plans for the swimwear- from yoga to paddleboarding- showing the true potential the swimwear has to offer.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a SKIMS campaign if Kim herself didn’t try on the attire. Posing by the poolside, the reality star gave us vacay-envy in her ultra-flattering cocoa monokini.

Champion Circle x Saweetie
While most summer drops are synonymous with swimwear and tank tops, Champion have teamed up with Saweetie to bring a sporty summer drop with a ‘get it girl’ ethos. After the exciting news that Saweetie has been named Champion’s first-ever global ambassador, the sports label and rap star have teamed up to bring a female-forward campaign, filled with inspiring and flexible garments.
In an ad campaign released to Instagram today, Saweetie holds an iconic Swarovski basketball- almost identical to the one she held at the Lakers games earlier this year. Wearing a pink sports bra from Champion’s SS22 collection, Saweetie was a vision of sporty glam. Alongside her featured sporty women, from basketballer Natalie Chou to gymnast Norah Flatley, an empowering group who drove home the campaign’s goal to help women be their most authentic selves.
Whether you’re a basketballer, volleyballer, or just live for a pair of comfy sports leggings, the campaign supports women who are ‘their own champion’- a message emphasised by the soundtrack of Saweetie’s own ‘get it girl’ single that played throughout the campaign.
Champion’s recent SS22 drop features an array of sports-approved, yet stylish garments (a pairing often difficult to find). Branded shirts, colourful sweats, and sustainable eco- fur hoodies are just a few of Champion’s garments that allow for flexibility and self-expression.
Speaking about her relationship with the brand, Saweetie admitted Champion has been her ‘go-to brand since high school’, highlighting that her aim for the collaboration is to help the ‘sporty icy girls out there feel empowered’- and we think she couldn’t have done a better job.
So if you’re a girl who plays by her own rules and wants to look good doing it, visit Champion.com.
