After a long week of fashion shows, the Met Gala, Music Awards, and many other events, New York Fashion Week is finally over. Yet, we’re still thinking about all the looks our favourite celebrities served in the past few days. Here are some of our personal favourites:
Saweetie
For the Tom Ford show, Saweetie wore this beautiful pair of black low waisted flares with a strappy cut out top that enhanced her curves and silhouette. The make-up and the hairstyle complemented the look perfectly and brought back the sexy 2000s aesthetic in a classy and trendy manner.
Halsey
Halsey made an appearance at New York Fashion Week with her boyfriend Alev Aydin. She wore a bright red LaQuan Smith corset covered in lace with a pair of low waisted flared jeans by The Attico that had matching red stitching. She went with a pair of black heeled glitzy Louboutin sandals for footwear. The silhouette of the bottoms and top clearly reference the 2000s style, but with a Goth twist, whilst the makeup and hairstyle have more of a glamorous vibe.
Shay Mitchell
For her pre-VMA appearance, Shay Mitchell wore a beautiful vinyl sculpted dress by Nikita Karizma. The colour and silhouette complemented her skin tone perfectly, making her look chic. She accessorized the dress with a pair of Levian gold earrings, strappy Femme sandals, a Lee Savage golden clutch and Monica Rose black shades.
Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski attended the Tory Burch show wearing a dark grey vest and matching trousers. Although this might be a classic business attire, she made it edgy by showing her slim arms and pairing it with black leather sandals and a small bag. With her hair down and subtle makeup, she looked smart, elegant, and cool at the same time.
Rosalia
Rosalia arrived at the Thom Browne SS/22 fashion show wearing a two-piece plaid set: a flared midi skirt and a straight cut long jacket. Underneath, she wore a white vest that she matched with a pair of white heeled loafers. The choice of sunglasses and hairstyle, precisely the loose strands gave the look a perfect ’90s finish. Although an alternative to her frequent edgy aesthetic, she rocked this tartan print style.
Madelaine Petsch
Madelaine Petsch made her first appearance at this season’s New York Fashion Week at the Prabal Gurung show. She wore a black suit with sequins lapels and matching black trousers. To contrast this, she wore a choker with red and cyclamen feathers, which she paired up with bright pink heeled sandals. The silver straps of the sandals made her outfit glamourous and sophisticated. Her slick middle part hairstyle worked as the best finishing touch for this stunning look.
Rita Ora
Rita Ora announced the end of her New York stays on Instagram wearing a two-piece light grey stretchy set. The top features a cut that reveals her cleavage and the maxi slim skirt perfectly hugs her hips to create the impression of a mermaid silhouette. The fabric and style of the outfit truly work to her advantage. Her messy hairstyle and neutral makeup give her the perfect glow for a late-night dinner look.
Ciara
Ciara rocked an all-black look for LaQuan Smith’s show: a puff sleeve top and a pair of nylon cargo trousers tucked in heeled over knee puff boots. The shape and cut of the top gave us Regency-core (Bridgeton) vibes whilst the bottoms and the boots made her look like a Ninja Warrior. The slick, high bun further alluded to this idea and the dark eyeshadow and neutral make-up truly accentuated her facial features. The textures of the fabrics complemented each other well and made her look powerful. As usual, she owned New York Fashion Week.
