This summer, the 80s are back. On TikTok and Instagram, we see celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Camilla Cabello with an overload of blush. This new viral trend gives you a glowy and healthy holiday look without needing to leave the house! We have collected our biggest blush inspirations this summer, with all the tips and tricks you need to achieve this cute trend.
Usually, we apply blush on our cheeks. But on TikTok, a new way of applying your blush went viral. The idea of the “sun-kissed blush” look is that you use an overload of blush where the sun would naturally hit your face, so it almost looks like a sunburn. Simply apply a dewy blush in a “W” shape across your face to achieve the look!
In this TikTok, you can see @millieleer use the Clinique Blush stick. She applies some of the product to her brush and applies it on the apples of her cheeks and bridge of her nose. To look even more sun-kissed, she also used cream bronzer around her forehead and cheeks.
@alysialoo uses the Youth Foria colour changing blush oil. She applies it to her cheekbones and nose, seamlessly blending it out with a brush. To add an extra flush to her face, Alysia uses the remaining product on her brush to go over her temples and chin, which we think is genius.
Blushes come in many different formulas now. From cream and powder to liquid – there is something out there for everyone!
Currently, the most sought after blush product is a cream blush, this is due to the bendable formula delivering a natural looking dewy flush, perfect for summer! If you prefer the traditional powder blush, a great tip is to start by gliding your brush outwards from the apple of your cheeks towards the high point of your cheekbones.
