It’s officially summer dress season after the long-awaited easing of lockdown restrictions and sunshine. This week we’ve pulled inspiration for your SS21 wardrobe with the dresses worn by your favourite fashion girls on Instagram this week. From groovy patterned maxi silhouettes, colour blocking pieces and glam mesh options – there’s a dress for everyone.
Bad Kid HQ
Parisa wears the House Of Sunny ‘Hockney Dress’, a piece which has taken Instagram by storm for it’s unique pattern play and amazing knitted quality. Perhaps the most perfect dress for this summer, with a maxi-silhouette, body con shape and 70’s style patterns.
Emrata
A strappy, backless number from Emily Ratajkowski in a holiday snap on Instagram this week. Wearing a figure-hugging, satin dress in one of the hottest colours of SS21 – fuchsia.
Bella Hadid
Bella’s boho look is giving us summer goddess energy. She wears a dreamy, loose mesh dress with button details, wide sleeves and a vibrant colour palette. The perfect silhouette for an airy feel on hotter days.
Wolfie Cindy
A new colour combination we’re loving is orange and lilac. Wolfie Cindy wears a halter neck mini dress in a neon shade with contrasting purple seams. One of the most popular silhouettes of the season with its asymmetric feel.
Jasmine Daniels
A maxi, mesh moment with colour-block patterns – can anything be more SS21? Jasmine Daniels wears the Kim Shui ‘Green Swirl’ dress. It’s details are everything, with an intricate lace detailing on the mesh and bold strokes of red, yellow, green and blue. We’ve never added something to our summer basket so quickly.
Loose Unicorns
Gen Z’s resurgence of y2k has brought strappy details and low waist back to the mainstream. Maria wears the ‘Karlie Dress’ by I AM GIA which combines the two creating a two-piece illusion.
Jamilla Strand
Another trend for SS21 is towelling material. Jamilla Strand wears the ‘Alexa Dress’ by With Jean which is in a bold electric blue colour. The mini dress features button down detailing, a ruched waist and a polo-style collar all in a shimmery towelling fabric.
Amina Muaddi
Amina Muaddi takes us to Cannes in a Louis Vuitton look. Wearing new season Vuitton in their asymmetrical ‘Macro Epi Dress’, which features a stripe design with shades of pink, purple, black, white and hints of the brand’s iconic monogram design. With SS21 being the year of groovy patterns and cutouts – this one’s essential.
Natalia
Natalia opted for a more sporty-inspired look in a skater, tennis-style dress. A timeless summer silhouette that is very versatile – wear it on the court, to the park or even for cocktails.
